Universal Copy - Copy Anything
A free Edge extension that lifts copy, selection, and right-click restrictions, so any web page can be copied again.
It works on the page in front of you and stores nothing: no page text, no browsing history, no personal data, and no remote server involved.
Some pages switch off selection and right-click, turning even a simple copy into a detour. The extension lifts those client-side restrictions, so copying works like it normally does.
What it does
- Restores text selection on pages that disable it with CSS or JavaScript.
- Restores copy / cut and the right-click context menu.
- Re-checks every few seconds, so lazily loaded content is covered too.
- Shows a brief confirmation on the page once a restriction is lifted.
- Clicking the toolbar icon opens the extension home page.
Scope and limits
- Works on HTTP and HTTPS pages; browser-internal pages and extension pages are out of reach.
- It only lifts client-side restrictions — server-side paywalls and DRM are not affected.
- Installs from the Edge Add-ons store; works in Edge and other Chromium-based browsers.
